Clinical and Counselling Psychologist
About me
With registrations in both clinical and counselling psychology, I provide an open and calm space to explore and treat mental health and relationship concerns, and assist in self-exploration, insight and personal growth.
Treatment is evidence-based, progressive and personalised. I have specialist training in treatments for trauma, depression and anxiety, addiction, complex presentations, perinatal issues, and eating disorders.
More specifically, I have extensive training in a range of approaches such as: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Schema Therapy, Emotional Processing for Trauma Therapy (Prolonged Exposure), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Existential psychotherapy. I draw on these frameworks on a needs basis.
With that said, coming to counselling doesn’t always require a diagnosis or a crisis - sometimes we need to talk and explore our thoughts and concerns in order to gain clarity and meaning. This is welcomed and encouraged, and can be the most helpful and healing part of the process. I endeavour to provide a space for being so that meaning, purpose and change can emerge.
Qualifications
I am registered with AHPRA, with endorsements in both Clinical and Counselling Psychology. I am a credentialised eating disorder clinician (accredited by the ANZEAD), and I have experience in public, not-for-profit and private settings. In addition to a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, as well as extensive training in various counselling psychotherapies, I have also completed an Organisational Psychology Masters degree and can therefore assist in workplace related issues and career development.
